Two little pups are bored staying at home on the farm. The big dogs are in the forest trying to catch the fox who tried to get into the hen house.
"Not fair!" yelps Little Golden. "We never get to do anything exciting."
"It's hopeless! When you're a pup, you always have to stay at home and be bored," whimpers Hoppig.
Even though they're not allowed, the pups set off into the forest by themselves. The forest is very different to the farm. Their noses are filled with new scents: warm pine needles, moss and strange animals. The sounds are different too. Suddenly they hear a yapping, whimpering sound far away. The pups prick their ears and listen closely. What could it be? Maybe it's someone new to play with!
