ABOUT AZORA BOOKS

Who We Are

Ready for a charming story? The story of Azora Books starts with an adorable baby! Amanda spent years in the adoption process and then one day the phone call came. A birthmother wanted to meet and the baby was due in just three weeks! One month later, baby Micah was home basking in the love of his village.

The quick timeline of the adoption meant that all the fees were due at once. As the legal fees continued to grow, Amanda looked on her shelves for books to sell. The leap from adoption fundraiser to viable business took care of itself when Rebecca (Micah’s godmother and another devoted reader) joined the effort. Amanda and Rebecca are teachers by day, so they know the challenge of personally funding classroom libraries.

The vision of Azora Books is simple--high quality, affordable books for every family and every classroom.

One year after launching the business, Rebecca has moved on to focus on her teaching career. Meanwhile Azora Books continues to expand operations with thousands of books individually listed and new titles arriving daily. The story of Azora Books is only just beginning--thanks for being part of the next chapter!
